Gorbino's Quest

Sporatic thoughts presented as fact.

>> I don't need to post statistics. I don't need to elaborate. I don't need to prove anyone or anything wrong. I just need to wait... and watch... and if I'm wrong, nothing in my life will have changed.
>> Ideally, our world heals when human beings aren't taking part in it. We are responsible for our demise, as victims and oppressors. We are apex predators which have mastered oppression, consumption and disassociation.
>> Commodity has become so interwoven with society that we are already nostalgic for mechanisms which were made to siphon money from us for entertainment. It's no wonder why we have resorted to digital slot machines and gambling on our lives.
>> The powerless are conditioned to argue and complain about the powerful, convinced that stress relief will somehow resolve actions untethered by the same restrictions. We are ruled by the unruly, yet we follow their rules.
>> The beauty of my dark philosophy is that no matter how others percieve it, I am certain of the outcome regardless of their sentiments: our world will end eventually, just as it began; the unknown is whether we will live to see it.
>> I was told that as a child, I cried when I learned that people could lie. Tell me now: Where have all the criers gone?
>> I would be foolish to dismiss the privilege given from my family, my skin color and my financial wellbeing which has made my suffering less than it could be alternatively. I guess I'm lucky to barrel into death with cultural luxury.
>> If the world were to end tomorrow, I'd die having done everything I set out to do. There are no new experiences, challenges or people I seek. My time alive ended many years ago, now I simply exist for new distractions.
>> My mind seeks an escape into fantasy, esoteric thought and extreme abstraction to comfort myself from the hard realities of being depressed, alone and equally misunderstood. Smoke from Hell are my Clouds from Heaven.
>> Time passes through me as I find new lights and sounds to distract me, sand passing through the neck of the hourglass. Bones buried of the laborers and warriors will intermingle with the modern man, both no longer burdened.
>> When scientific evidence, the general culture and my personal experiences provide evidence of a darker, dangerous and more futile future, why would I decide to bring new life into it?
Original ideas are contextual in that they exist alone in obfuscation to potentially infinite duplicates. When you accept that all of percieved thought is merely a reflection of reality, your interpretations alone are where the true power resides.
The message and the messenger are connected, so I would personally advise readers to only take what they need instead of every single insight. I am not omnipotent of your journey or wise to your conflicts. If my advice does not suit you, dismiss it.
To ignore death and live recklessly is the closest one can come to accepting the futility of their circumstances: our belief in eternity does not alter fate, nor does acting cautiously of death. Even the bravest fear their own demise. Accept the truth and burn brightly.
Due to a lack of consistent perfections, we often negotiate... but beware ignoring the pros and cons when doing nothing feels more comfortable. When the flower becomes a rock, it refuses to grow and will only appear changed when it's damaged or rained upon.
Blaming our disguises and omissions for our shortcomings will rarely change the habit, regardless if the truth appears intentionally or not. The only remedy is understanding the peace of openness and honesty.
There may be stigma or fear to approaching outsiders of familiar perspectives, but there is knowledge to be found from those broken out of conformity. Studying programs outside of its influence can be more beneficial.
Suffering should never be the standard in society. We all face hard times, but those that normalize consistent conflict seeks to control your expectations. Trust no higher power that makes your compliance to cruelty commonplace.
In the modern world, one can look at a single object and enter a deep level of discovery. A single product can connect itself to many facets of reality through its manufacturing and presentation. When bored, dive into these details.
It is my personal preference not to praise using specific names in recognition of unknown change. I may find a person or movement favorable now, but time proves I cannot anticipate the shortcomings, mistakes and errors. I instead focus on ideas in isolation.
We are all limited by language, mediums, time and effort. Even if we were all able to understand everyone perfectly and infinitely, we still exist in an imperfect and finite world. Don't distract yourself with the limits.
Without confidence, all battles are destined for defeat. A fact told with a waver is easily crushed by a lie said with certainty; when proven wrong, the believer can also gain a greater lesson in humility.
When you can sense you are on the wrong path, educate yourself deeply while avoiding being absorbed by its reality. With a habit of wrongdoing, it takes only one moment of clarity to begin setting things back in order.
Those that cannot "believe" or "imagine" something out of the ordinary have not taken the final step towards self-actualization: we are no different from the depraved, the insane and the lost. With chaos, anything is possible.
In the existence of our reality, many professionals would conclude humans are a microscopic part of its history; however, to us, life is potentially infinite in reference to our own existence. Meditate on this when considering pride, greed and envy.
Beauty is fleeting and hard to maintain. To seek eternal beauty is madness, but to pursue excellence in your demeanor and appearance is admirable. See yourself now in an open casket, knowing your efforts in aesthetics will persist past your own death.
Our emotions are destined to change as a result of chaos... when faced with immediate grief or anguish, know from your own experiences that relief finds its way eventually.
A powerful absolute many cling to is group identity, such as political, sexual and social alignment. Likemindedness can exist outside of labels... find where you agree with others, but make yourself distinct from any group.
While it may seem wise to dismiss false claims such as rumors and lies, their origins can be insightful... what motivates others may control your life more than your own actions can.
One might wonder how they would deal with extreme and consequencial scenarios... if these things truly concern you, train yourself both mentally and physically instead of creating unneccesary worry for the unknown.
The majority of people do not drink enough water. Hydration increases focus, stability and activity. There is no deeper meaning here, make sure your health is taken care of.
We are all strangers: even when we believe we know ourselves, change finds a way to mold us anew. Understanding this, chaos becomes a clearer force of renewal and a promise for experience and adventure.
When transitioning out of something, be confident in letting go. The final act we all must face is our life's eventual absence... seek that feeling in loss so that you may feel no shackles to the past. For those that cling to what they cannot keep, pain awaits you in the end.
Being unique transcends appearance and personality: for many years, the very specific circumstances and decisions from yourself and others have formed you. Finding similarities only simplifies us... see the finer details.
Those that state they don't care how others feel about their actions and existence is carrying a burden. To hide the worry of judgement, a projection of carelessness is summoned. Regardless of sentiment, judgement is unavoidable.
To become separate of our primitive drives is impossible. While it may appear strange, every dog, no matter how well trained they are, will howl if you howl also. There is no amount of knowledge that will suppress our nature as animals.
Sympathy for those that suffer is a passive act. Empathy, too, is simply more personable. It is better to help people you do not feel for than to feel deeply for those you do not help.
The Hagakure (Shambhala 2014) teaches a technique to stop yawning: pushing upward on your forehead and/or licking your lips. The book has other deeper insights and inspires both these posts and my philosophy.
As a parallel opposite to a prior post, if you believe something can never happen for you, the opportunities dry up and become truly impossible. "Manifestation" is fantasy, but intention can manifest our reality. To seek what you want, open your eyes and search.
To believe something is 100% certain and also likely not to come true is not madness... by believing the former, the chances for success can grow beyond expectations. Do not fear personal absolutes that closes the gap to victory.
There are easily recognizable metrics for worth, but to live with the capacity to experience joy is priceless. When the days seem long and absent of meaning, find time for personal joy.
Common tactics amongst therapists is allowing the client to realize their conflicts via questioning, while also being inquisitive about their past relationships. We all fall into patterns, and to break out of them, we must both know and feel them to be true.
Those that suffer will often deflect or obfuscate to avoid sharing their pain with others... this amplifies suffering via isolation. When your help is rejected, become available and kind-hearted. You cannot force recovery.
Addictions are like weeds: they survive in spite of us knowing their existence, and (once introduced somewhere) can be difficult to get rid of. They provide amazing feelings which lead to ruin. At every point in life, beware the weeds.
The present moment is the most valuable place to keep focus on. At any moment, the future you predict can change or end abruptly, and the past you remember will slip out of your memory. The real and the now are one in the same.
There is a critical transition between obfuscating the truth and telling a lie... when asked directly for the truth, do not hesitate to do so. Be wary of consequences, but don't linger on the negatives and make preparations beforehand to soften the impact.
Learning about someone can be compared to tending a fire... allow the fire to burn on its own and strategically provide "wood" to nurture the conversation. Likewise, if there is no wood to your fire, do not be afraid to become ash.
A compliment is a gift best recieved with humility. Do not feel embarrased or prideful when recieving praise, and instead see these moments as confirmation that the path you travel bears fruits for others as well.
To disarm an opponent attempting to thwart you with words, ask questions and point out their dispositions when they present themselves. When you are calm and straightforward, opponents will often defeat themselves through their anger and deflection.
While the spirit to become a master lies within many, the capability and constant drive to improve exists in only a few. To attract the optimal outcome, ignore notoriety and focus solely on betterment even if training is uncomfortable, repetitive and boring. Without training, mastery is a delusion.
